Dave Brazewell is a weegie hailing frae Glasgow, if ye ken whit ah mean. His influences are many and varied as long as it's electro, house or techno. He used to have really curly hair but it all fell out. Some say it was because of the really loud music but he knew it was hereditary passed down from his Grandfather (on his Mothers side).
Dave starting DJ'ing in Edinburgh at random parties (including the fateful La Belle Angele where the great fire of Edinburgh started in 2002) but it wasn't until he moved to London that things started to take off. Dave was lucky enough to have his first major warmup gig at The Gallery in Turnmills (one of London's most renowned clubs albiet closed now) in 2004 and in 2005 he saw off 42 other hopefuls to reach the finals of the Turnmills/Subbass DJ Academy annual DJ competition.
It was through this competition that he met the rest of the Sub-Mission conglomerate, a group of like-minded and talented DJ's looking to start their own night. Luckily they let Dave play as well.
Through Sub-Mission Dave started to get regular gigs across London (with 3 successful gigs over the summer of '06 at the EP Lounge in Farringdon), slots on World Dance FM (2-4pm GMT every Saturday, with each internet show pulling in over 2000 listeners from around the world), Papadiso at The Egg and two successful parties at Jamm in Brixton with special guests Brandon Block, King Roc and Phil Drummond.
2006 also saw Dave warming up at the Familia bi-monthly at the Key in London and has been billed with many international underground legends such as Tiefschwarz, Dan Ghenacia, Konrad Black, Lee Burridge, Clive Henry & Steve Bug as well as respected regulars Kos and Tom Budden. 2007 started well for Dave. As well as being billed alongside Tiefschwarz at Familia in January there were gigs with Stylistic, Jnr's Jamm and PsyOps Productions along with the increasingly popular Sub-Mission nights (with a new regular bi-monthly at Fluid in Farringdon) and a stint with The House Cartel on Easter Sunday at the White House in Clapham where they had never seen it so busy in the recently refurbished 1st floor dancefloor.
And in June 2007, to celebrate his 30th Birthday in true DJ style, Dave and the rest of the Sub-Mission lads were invited out to Ibiza and had the chance to warmup in Es Paradis and have an afternoon all to themselves beside the pool at Kanya. Dave will tell you himself there is nothing better than have a bunch of topless lasses dancing to your tunes underneath the blazing sun.
Towards the end of 2007 Dave decided that the rest of the world needed to be seen and went walkabout with a round the world ticket. Although dj'ing was not the focus of the trip he still managed to notch up gigs in Indonesia and Brazil.

With a varied music style Dave can be found playing anything from funky/minimal electro to funky/tough techno and is just as comfortable dj'ing early night, building up a crowd as he is at living it up in a headline slot.
