A new era is soon upon us. We @fnoob will be introducing a new e-commerce area to the site, so we want about 100 members to sign up for the beta test at the start so we can monitor the progress and iron out any potential threats and problems that may and will occur. Here's the idea and concept so far:

Sell your music!

All members can buy and sell their music... nothing new i hear you say. Well with a twist, we aim to provide a truely open marketplace for smaller labels and unsigned artists, basically giving everyone a chance to get some money for their hard work. You also get the chance to view stats of your work and also. Fnoob Media Ltd will also take a small cut in the proceeds, which looks to be around 10-30% , we may have a sliding scale but not 100% sure yet how it will work. Essentially we will need to pay the appropriate PRS and MCPRS license costs. However the beta program will be available to members for free or at a highly reduced rate.

Fnoob Currency

One thing we  will be using is the exiting userpoints cheme to buy and sell music. So you can earn points by promoting the site - blogging, inviting friends, add friends, replying and creating discussions etc etc. Pretty much anythign that involves making fnoob.com a bigger and better place for everyone involved. Think of points like voucher credits, the more active you are the more points you get (and therefore money). You will also be able to redeem your points for money , so you are effectively getting paid to promote. Or exchange your points to buy shop items ( music, merchandise etc)

Advertising

We want to allow members to advertise their music or whatever they want - websites, events etc. There will be an advertising module on every page with different costs associated with size and impressions /clicks. This will also be linked with the fnoob points scheme, so you can pay for the adverts with your existing points.

Beta Program Sign Up

So we need your help! 100(ish) volunteers to help us create a stable and effective platform to build on with feedback and ideas. We will create a support group for this especially when the program becomes active. We aim to introduce this feature in March 2011 (most of the hard coding and design has already been done).
